Yurii Belousov: Today another picture is discussed by well-known art critics: Beavis and Butthead.

Be. – Yeah, very impressive sight. A real catastrophe picture. I would call it “Acid rain in the mushroom forest”. I’m sure, I know the philosophical meaning that the author put into the picture. We can see that on the right side of the drawing the rain is significantly stronger. It means that “our cause is rightful”, but ecological catastrophe is inevitable anyway.

Bu. – It seems that rain drops have different density. Here, look: some of them are quite solid. One of such mutant drops stuck into the small mushroom.

Be. – I’m sure that the acid rain has negative influence on everything, including itself. In the left part of the drawing we can see that some drops lost their colour.

Bu. – Look, what are the remains of the mushroom forest? Only two mutant mushrooms. The smaller mushroom already became colourless, the bigger one still partly keeps its colour. And also, you ought to look at their size. They can be measured with the third character of this picture – the elephant.

Be. – Yes, by all appearances the elephant recently took part in a
fight: his nose had been so heavily damaged that it simply collapsed. By the way, I’m sure, that elephant’s profession is a fireman-ballet-dancer. We can tell it by his adust torso and his ballet-dancer-like toes. In a word, it’s a mutant elephant.

Bu. – I’m afraid, you are mistaken, my dear colleague. The big mushroom is not a mushroom. It’s a mutant umbrella with bulging handle. We can notice, that the rain already started to dissolve the umbrella. The umbrella is covered with rags, and somewhere white holes can be seen.

Be. – Exactly! The mutant elephant under mutant umbrella collects mutant mushrooms. By the way, colleague, what do you think, why the elephant lowered his panties?

Bu. – I’m sure, it is a natural desire if someone is frightened.

Be. – Strange… What’s the connection with a fright? Why the mutant elephant is afraid of acid rain? After all, it is its natural environment. Maybe, the author wanted to say something different?

Bu. – OK, let’s see the name of the picture on a reverse… Oooh… “First 5 seconds after explosion at the factory of blue and grey needles, which employees are mice and mushrooms”.
